Drinkers need not read this article, although it is about bottles. Others are invited to take their seats at the table, because this is exactly where we will be working. And I assure you that process of turning a bottle into an ornament is much more engrossing and interesting than summoning a genie from a bottle. Much more.
To begin working, you'll need a glue-firing pistol to quickly fasten elements of decoration to a bottle. If you do not have one, use PVA glue. Then wrap a piece of colored patterned paper or cloth around a bottle or wrap a string or lace around it to make the basis for your creation. After doing this, adorn it with an old brooch, beads, buttons, or shells. Dried flowers and seeds are obligatory pieces of decoration, as you may already guess. You can use coffee bean, lentils, beans, acorns, etc.
To make your creation look more graphic, you might also adorn it with feathers. If the bottle has an attractive shape, concentrate on making an exotic stopper in the form of a crescent with tassels dangling from its both ends or a round ball with eucalyptus leaves pasted on top. Then adorn each leaf with a mother-of-pearl bead. A stopper in the form of a hat with feathers will look elaborate and impressive. In a word, be original and daring in design but don't get carried away. Remember, a bottle in your hands is a delicate thing.
