Photography Brings France Closer to Ukraine

On January 31 at the French Cultural Center opened an exhibition of the photography of Jean- Georges Goetz amid great public interest. This is hardly surprising, since the main theme of his work is life itself, simultaneously simple and beautiful.

The language of art needs no translation. One need not know the language and culture of the author’s origin; his thoughts and feeling are conveyed to the observer through his work. As with every outstanding artist, Goetz was able to completely penetrate the soul of Ukrainian observers by means of his photographic images. The opening of the exhibit was possible thanks to the French Cultural Center and Ukraine’s Union of Artistic Photographers. According to French Cultural Center Director Beno ц it Vitse, this cultural alliance between our two countries has become yet another step to strengthen Ukrainian-French relations.
