ANDRIY MEDVEDIEV BIDS WIMBLEDON FAREWELL

By Kyrylo STADNYCHENKO, The Day

Sadly, Kyivan Andriy Medvediev's second Wimbledon match turned out to be
last. He lost to Canadian Daniel Nestor 1:6, 5:7, and 3:6 in three sets.
As Andriy himself says, he never got used to the super-hard courts of the
English Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club and failed to catch the rhythm of
the games. This leaves Olena Tatarkova as the only Ukrainian still in the
tournament. She is to play doubles with the South African Republic's Marianna
De Schwardt.
