20 people killed in two explosions in Syria

Yesterday two explosions struck the eastern Damascus district of Jaramana, 10 kilometers southeast of the Syrian capital. Twenty people at the least were killed as a result of a series of terrorist attacks in the neighborhood of Damascus. Two car bombs exploded and two homemade bombs were activated, reportedly by the Syrian television. Previously on Wednesday clashes took place in the city between the insurgents and the government forces. According to the international observers, between 20 and 40 thousand people have been killed during the armed conflict between the government forces and the opposition in Syria, and hundreds thousands were forced to leave their places of residence. The country’s authorities assert that they are fighting terrorist groups which get financial support from abroad.
