247 Residents of Luhansk Oblast Could Be Deprived of Parental Rights

Raids carried out in 802 populated areas by the family and youth department of the Luhansk regional state administration revealed some 1,500 vagrant children and about 2,000 listed as homeless. One half of these are potential beggars. Criminal proceedings were started against adults involving juniors in felonious activities; 247 persons may be deprived of their parental rights. Some measures have been taken in the aftermath of the unannounced investigations. Some of the youngsters have been placed in orphanages or returned to their families; over 1,000 children returned to school and 38 received jobs, reports The Day’s Alla ANTYPOVA.
