President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek noted significant progress in the European integration process of Ukraine. He made this declaration in Brussels after meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov. He said progress had been made during the last round of talks between Ukraine and the EU on establishing of a free trade zone, signing an association agreement and introducing visa-free travel regime. “We face many tasks and issues, particularly those relating to the establishment of a free trade zone, signing an association agreement and introducing a visa-free regime. I want to add that during the last round of negotiations significant progress has been made on all these issues,” the president said. “We have a great future ahead. We support each other and we must go forward together,” he added. Furthermore, Jerzy Buzek said that relations between Ukraine and the EU were deeply-rooted, and both sides could help each other in the development of bilateral relations, particularly in the political and economic spheres. Azarov, in turn, thanked the president of the European Parliament for his support of Ukraine’s European integration process. The head of the government added that relations between Ukraine and the EU were free from any controversies.
