By Yevhen BRUSLYNOVSKY,The Day
While officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are only considering
a draft of such a project, the Cherkasy branch of the Serbian-Ukrainian
Society is not awaiting instructions from above and is preparing to take
in Serbian children.

Boys and girls from the Serbian sister city of Sombor will spend several
weeks on the banks of the Dnipro River in the company of their Ukrainian
counterparts. The first group is expected to arrive in mid-July, and the
second, in early August.

As Natalia Vrublevska, chairperson of the Cherkasy organization told
The Day, a total of 50 children from the small Vojvodina city bombed
by NATO aircraft - will go through the recreation program in Cherkasy.
The other day Natalia called Dragutin Vladislavljevic, head of the Serbian-Ukrainian
Society in Sombor and informed him that the first group of young Somborians
can get ready to travel to Ukraine - Cherkasy families are ready to receive
them.
