1649: Bohdan Khmelnytsky’s envoys, led by Colonel Fedir Vyshniakov, arrive in Moscow to negotiate joint combat operations against the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

1918: Representatives of Ukraine’s political parties meet in Kyiv to form the Ukrainian National Association.

1964: The Ukrainian National Academy’s Library is set on fire, destroying most of the Ukrainian shelves.

1972: A Soviet-US peaceful joint space exploration treaty is signed in Moscow.

1991: The Ministry of Justice registers the Green Party of Ukraine.

1995: President Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine, on official visit to Estonia, signs a declaration on comprehensive cooperation and partnership with Ukraine, as well as intergovernmental agreements on free trade and navigation.

2002: The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine resolves to start Ukraine’s integration into NATO structures.
