Today at 2 p.m. Larysa Ivshyna opens the photo exhibit “Den 2011” in the exposition gallery of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. The guests will be able to see 150 best works of amateur and professional photographers and vote for the winner. And at 3 p.m. Den’s editor-in-chief will present the newspaper’s new initiatives, in particular the project “Self-Education online,” for Lviv’s readers and intellectual elite. The meeting will be moderated by Iryna Kliuchkovska, director of the International Institute of Education, Culture, and Relations with Diaspora of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. “We have huge expectations for the meeting. Larysa Oleksiivna is an example of a generator and, what is more important, implementer of ideas, a purposeful and consistent one, because every project develops from a concept into a formation, goes to regions, thus integrating entire Ukraine,” Kliuchkovska says. “I am speaking not only about the traditional photo exhibit, but also the newly created website ‘Ukraine Incognita.’ Therefore the topic of this year’s conference, ‘Self-Education online’ is quite apt. During the discussion our audience will learn more about the new projects of Den, which is undoubtedly a university beyond universities,” she noted.

On April 26 at 10 a.m. within the framework of the annual student conference “Ukrainian mass media: traditions and challenges of today” Ivshyna will hold a master class for journalism students of the Ivan Franko National University. “We expect the meeting with Larysa Ivshyna to be intellectually rich as at the master class we will share our experience, analyze the publications of the periodicals, and hold discussions. Our students are active readers of the newspaper, therefore communication of this format is one more step to shaping high-quality Ukrainian journalism in modern dimension,” deputy head of the journalism department of the Ivan Franko University emphasized.

Ivshyna will pay a visit to Lviv Polytechnic and Ivan Franko University not only as Den’s editor-in-chief, but also as a member of monitoring board of one of Halychyna’s biggest universities. Therefore besides the informative communication with students, she will have a meeting with Yurii Bobal, the rector of the Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Those who won’t have an opportunity to attend any of the meetings will be able to talk to Den’s editor-in-chief through local media, in particular, Nezalezhnist (Independence) radio station (on April 27, 1:45 p.m.)
