On June 22, 1941, we heard Stalin address the nation: “Brothers and Sisters...” Then tens of thousands were killed. Soviet troops retreated. Evacuation. Prisoners of war. Buchenwald. Leningrad under siege. Starvation rations. Killed or missed in action notices. Four years before VE-Day. Tens of millions of lives lost. On Monday June 22, 1998, people relive the horrors of 1941 which marked the beginning of a tragedy that would ruin the destinies of several generations...
