IMPORT DUTIES TO RISE

According to the regulation, privileged and full rates tariffs for imported of plates, sheets, strips, and bands made from refined copper more than 0.15 mm thick in rolls are raised to 10% (earlier the privileged rates was 0%, full rate 5%). The privilege rates for pigments and preparation on the basis on titanium dioxide, multi-layer paper and board and plastic floor coverings were doubled and brought up to full rate (from 5% to 10%). Both privileged and full duty rates are increased to 20% for copper wire (from 0% and 5) and aluminum wire (2% and 5%), cable assemblies and telephone cables (2% and 5%).

The duty rates for cotton fabrics are doubled, from 10% up to 20%. The duty on spark plugs for cars is raised to 20% (from 5% privilege rate and 10% full rate). The privilege rates of duty for telephone and telegraph switchboards are made twice as high (from 10% to 20%), and the privilege rates for the import of refrigerators with the holding capacity of over 340 liters are increased by 5 times (from 5% to 25%).

The same regulation exempts unhackled cotton fiber, whose previous privileged rate was 0% and full rate 10%.
