Kuwait Interested in Ukrainian Investment Climate

30 May, 00:00

On May 24, Khaled M. Al-Duwailah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in Ukraine, and Andriy Honcharuk, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of the Economy, signed in the Foreign Ministry a bilateral governmental agreement on economic and technological cooperation. The signing of the agreement crowned the work of a commercial and economic delegation from that oil-rich country. The Kuwaiti delegation was interested in a wide range of economic issues, including the investment climate in Ukraine. The visitors discussed with Ukrainian officials draft agreements on cooperation in the investment and tax fields. The former seem to intend to continue cooperation with their Ukrainian counterparts, to which the agreement signed bears testimony. Of course, Kyiv is more interested in Kuwait’s black gold. However, answering a question about probable supplies of oil to Ukraine, the ambassador noted this will be the object of special discussion.
