Ultra-Left Progressive Socialist Party leaders Natalia Vitrenko and Volodymyr Marchenko were pelted with apples and rotten tomatoes at the entrance to Lviv’s Klekit movie theater, where they attempted to hold a meeting with voters. Initiator of the bombardment was Andriy Parubiy, a city council member and one of the leaders of the Social National Party, who called on his fellow nationalists to stage a counter-demonstration at the site. And when the radical Left duo attempted to enter the movie house under police escort, they were met by a determined response by the radical Right. With a loud roar the latter surged forward and were able to land several missiles on the adepts of progressive socialism, who were forced back into the street. Clashes between police and nationalists occurred by the door, and the authorities spirited away Vitrenko and Marchenko to safety.

You won't build progressive socialism with voters like these
