OUR CANNON ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER THAN RUSSIAN ONES Ukraine has become dominant in tank weapons production

Some time in the past Moscow threatened to stop the shipment of certain parts including tank artillery systems to Ukraine. The fulfillment of the contract on the shipment of 320 T-80ud tanks to Pakistan for $650 million was on the verge of a failure. Thus, according to Hryhory Maliuk, chief plant manager, domestic production of such arms was stimulated by economic and political motives. Our product will be 30% cheaper than that produced in Perm.

The artillery tank system was designed in the Kyiv State Scientific-Technical Artillery Weapons Center. Representatives of the center claim that according to the results of plant and state tests the barrels of Ukrainian cannon are rated higher than Russian ones, and their service life is 1.6 to 3 times longer.

T-84 tanks are to be equipped with these new artillery systems. It should be mentioned that Ukraine is using tanks of this modification, participating in the international tender on the shipment of 1000 combat tanks to Turkey. Workers of this plant, the so-called Malyshevtsy, also are able to mount these cannons on the T-72 tanks. Hence the firepower of the 10,000 tanks dispersed throughout the world will be greatly increased.

Hryhory Maliuk also pointed out that the plant will be able to adjust these new artillery systems to those of NATO weapons.
