Program for Military Contacts With NATO Signed

At a meeting of Ukraine-NATO Military Committee a Program for Ukrainian-American Military Contacts in 2002 was signed. Ukrainian delegation included the acting Head of the Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Mykola Palchuk and representatives of Ukraine’s mission at NATO. The meeting also discussed the issues of reforming and developing the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the results of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the military sphere in 2001, and proposals for the Working Program for next year. The sides expressed their satisfaction with carrying out the Program for Cooperation in 2001, whose principal achievement was continuing the dialogue on military reform issues.
