Last week German Ambassador to Ukraine Eberhard Heiken handed German linguistic diplomas to 28 Ukrainian high-school graduates. Such a document makes it possible to enter any German University without passing an obligatory language test. This is why only 150 schools in the world have the right to issue this special Schprachdiploma. Among them are two Ukrainian schools, No. 239 in Kyiv and No. 90 in Odesa. But this German document does not make it easier to enter Ukrainian institutions of higher education. According to the representative of Ministry of Education the German curricula differ from ours. He also added that if thousands of students had such diplomas, would they have to admit all of them without any exams?
