October 10, 1932. The first nuclear reaction splitting the nucleus of lithium was conducted at the Kharkiv Physics and Technical Institute.
1973. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine passed a secret resolution providing for repressive actions against unregistered religious groups.
