March 29, 1917. The Hetman Polubotok Ukrainian Military Club was founded in Kyiv, headed by Mikhnovsky who started forming the national army.
1993. The First All-Ukrainian Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs took place in Kyiv.
March 30, 1651. Negotiations took place in Bila Tserkva between Bohdan Khmelnytsky and ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Myslavsky.
1821. The South Union of Decembrists was created in Tulchyn (now Vinnytsia oblast).
March 31, 1970. The country’s biggest pipe-rolling shop was put into operation at the Nikopol Southern Pipe Rolling Metallurgical Plant.
1993. The First Berezil Ukrainian International Theater Festival opened in Kharkiv.

1992. The Fund for Fundamental Research was created in Kyiv.
April 2, 1596. The Battle of Hostry Kamin took place near Kyiv between Severyn Nalyvaiko’s rebels and the army of Polish Crown Hetman Stefan Ziolkiowski.
1991. A treaty On Friendship and Cooperation between Ukrainian SSR and Kyrgyz Republic was signed in Bishkek.
April 3, 1919. The Council of People’s Commissars of Ukrainian SSR approved a decree On Proclaiming Askania Nova and Yelysavetveld, Baron Pfalz-Pfein’s former property, a people’s park preserve.
1990. The blue-and-yellow banner was first in Ukraine hoisted at the Lviv City Hall.
April 4, 1936. The Experimental Ophthalmology Research Institute was founded in Odesa.
1996. The Supreme Council of the Crimea passed the law On the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea.
