November 24, 1861: a new government body, the Council of Ministers,
is instituted in Russia. November 25, 1905: Imperial Russia's first
Ukrainian language newspaper Khliborob (Tiller) begins publication in Lubny.
November 25, 1921: the Ukrainian SSR and Estonia sign a peace treaty.
November 26, 1944:
the first congress of delegates of people's committees
of Transcarpathian Ukraine adopts a manifesto on the "reunification" of
Transcarpathian and Soviet Ukraine. November 26, 1977: a statue
of Ivan Fedorov, "the first Cyrillic book printer," is unveiled in Lviv.
November 27, 1648: Polish King Casimir II issues an edict guaranteeing
Cossack privileges. November 27, 1918: the Ukrainian Academy of
Sciences is founded in Kyiv, headed by its first President Volodymyr Vernadsky.
November 28, 1921: Ukraine accedes to the International Red Cross
Convention. November 28, 1943: the Big Three Tehran Conference begins.
