First of all, because The Day keeps aloof from the official press. Its analyses, especially concerning political events, are sufficiently impartial. Secondly, the subjects broached here are close to me, and this is by no means gutter journalism, and nor is it over-sophisticated, I mean like those which devote themselves to a narrow social or political vein.
I discovered The Day for myself only last year. Perhaps because everything, media included, was divided into spheres of influence before the elections and affiliations were getting quite conspicuous. Meanwhile, The Day remained true to its more or less independent self. And of course, I appreciate the quality of materials carried.
