Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes, there is the least of real liberty

WHY DO I READ The Day?

13 November, 2012 - 00:00

1. Because I want to read articles written by certain talented journalists having their own original nonstandard views. For example, about politics by Vitaly Portnykov, Rostyslav Khotyn, and Iryna Pohorelova. I like the cultural column with Yuri Andrukhovych and sports with Petro Marusenko. And I am very impressed by the literacy of the TV pages thanks to Natalia Lihachova.

2. Because I prefer full-bodied presentable periodicals that do not smack of the gutter.

3. Because I am amused to read something about myself which is not exactly true.

4. Because I usually read several newspapers at a time; it gives me a broader view of the alignment of political forces in this country. I think that every normal individual is interested in such information. I like motivated opposition, just as I respect a well-grounded stand.

P.S. We welcome the comments and criticism of our readers. Be in touch and help us make our newspaper better and more useful for you. After all, news is a service industry, and the final consumer is YOU.
