Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes, there is the least of real liberty

WHY DO I READ The Day?

13 November, 2012 - 00:00

The Day is more intellectual than other newspapers. Its pages lack all that trashy idiocy and aggressive journalism directed against the reader, making the latter see not the event described but only the author's self portrait.

Of course, I am mostly interested in your culture-and-art columns, as well as strategic articles (I mean political ones). I wish you carried more foreign material covering broader ground – the world surrounding Ukraine. For example, features on Lithuania or Moldova, what these countries are like now, their being our closest neighbors. I have no way to learn about these countries as much as about our "remote" neighbors, and The Day could provide this information in its own special way.
