The total cost of investment projects offered for implementation in the Yavoriv special economic area is more than $40 million, deputy chairman of the Lviv oblast state administration Myron Yankiv told UNIAN. In his words, the administration is now seriously considering almost fifty investment projects from Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Slovakia, etc. Especially interested in cooperation with the special economic area are Chinese companies. As Mr. Yankiv reported, the latter are ready to invest funds to produce and process agricultural goods, as well as to develop light-industry enterprises.
Some projects are expected to be implemented before the year’s end. In particular, the construction of an automobile terminal at the Krakovets customs point, in which about $10 million has been invested, will be finished by the end of November. The clause on the Yavoriv special economic area says that the minimum investment should be at least $500,000.
