An official US delegation headed by the US presidential aide for the newly independent states Richard Morningstar is scheduled to visit Kharkiv on June 15-17. The goal is to work out the agreements signed during the US Secretary of State Madeline Albright’s visit to Ukraine in March. Then Ukraine withdrew from participation in the construction of a nuclear power plant in Bushehr, Iran. The Kharkiv Turboatom publicly held corporation was supposed to supply power turbines for the station, and as a result the $45 million order was canceled. According to Interfax-Ukraine, American guests will visit Turboatom and discuss cooperation with a number of Kharkiv enterprises.
