The Cabinet of Ministers has supported a suggestion by the Kharkiv oblast
state administration and decided to grant Hr 2.601 million from the State
Innovation Fund to purchase equipment for disposable diaper production
in the oblast. Kharkiv's Yaroslavna enterprise is beginning such production
with the annual volume of 72,000 units, Infobank reports.
Enterprise director Tamara Mozhaiska told The Day that this sum
is an additional grant in connection with the inflation of money given
previously. The production line was made in Italy and is awaiting delivery
to Ukraine. The production area is also ready.
According to the innovation project, Yaroslavna (the factory made small-lot
textile artistic articles in the past) will manufacture annually 72 million
Krykhitka (Baby) disposable diapers by working three shifts. Mozhaiska
is convinced that their products will not only meet international standards,
but cost only half as much as imported ones. Initial output will be manufactured
using imported materials, but already Yaroslavna has signed agreements
with domestic enterprises for raw materials and other necessary inputs.
Krykhitka production will provide jobs not only for workers in Kharkiv,
but also in enterprises elsewhere in Ukraine.
