The World Bank might double financing for the state project on small business development and increase the loan from $200,000 to $500,000. It is also planned to open a second credit line for Odesa projects: construction of a biological water filtration station, heat power line reconstruction, and a number of agricultural projects.
This is how Deputy Prime Minister Mykola Biloblotsky summarized the results of the meeting with the World Bank delegation, chaired by Paul Siegelbaum. The meeting took place at the Odesa city council on June 24. In addition, the bank delegation met with the head of the oblast state administration Serhiy Hrynevetsky, management of the Institute of Genetics, representatives of Odesvodokanal (Odesa Water & Sewer) Company, and representatives of the local authorities.
Financing for three agricultural projects was also discussed: construction of the plant for seed corn production, growing hard wheat, and manufacturing and processing sunflower seed. The approximate cost of these projects are $11–12 million.
