Viennese Fairy Tale

The famous Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna invites Kyiv residents and guests of the capital to the concert “Just Like in a Fairy Tale.”

The program of the orchestra concert includes both popular classic pieces and lesser known graceful melodies; musical jokes and excerpts from operettas. Devotion to style, purity and beauty of sound, Viennese charm – these are the characteristics of this renowned orchestra. By the way, every year on January 1 Strauss Orchestra participates in the opening of the famous Viennese Ball. The orchestra is more than 30 years old and is the official orchestra of Vienna. Its patron is the mayor of the Austrian capital Dr. Michael Haeupl. Faithful to the tradition that existed back in The Days of Strauss, maestro Peter Gut conducts with a violin in his hands. He conducts the orchestra in a lively and virtuoso manner with lots of emotions and turns every concert into a spectacular show, where the audience cannot sit still in their seats – they sing and dance as if helping the musicians. In Kyiv, the orchestra will perform together with the Vienna State Opera soloist Monica Mosser (soprano). At the concert the orchestra will play world classical compositions, as well as works of the Strauss family and the masters of Vienna operetta. Today a team of experienced musicians, who have long performed together and understand each other from the first measure, play in the orchestra. Due to the high artistic standards Vienna Strauss Orchestra holds leading position in Europe. It has had many successful tours around the world.
