8:0 With Barry Town: No Big Deal but Still a Win

13 November, 2012 - 00:00

In the soccer Champions' League qualifying round, Kyiv Dynamo beat Barry Town of Wales with a record-breaking score of 8:0.

Let's not gasp with admiration and scream with joy at the top of our lungs-Barry Town is not London's Arsenal. However, let's also avoid the other extreme. The Dynamo players scored 8:0 for the first time in their 33-year history of participation in European cups, and they have often played with weaker teams.

The score of the game between Ukraine's Shakhtar and Malta's Birkirkara within the preliminary round of the UEFA cup proves once again that in European cups it is necessary to treat any opponent with respect. Shakhtar won the match with a minimal score of 2:1.

In a word, 8:0 is no big deal, but still nice.
