Information about the Kyiv Dynamo transfers came straight from horse's
mouth. Honorary President of the Kyiv Dynamo Soccer Club Hryhory Surkis
told The Day that Benfica had failed to fulfill its obligations,
making it possible that Oleh Luzhny will be sold to Sheffield Wednesday.
The future of Oleksandr Holovko is still unclear. He is staying in Liverpool,
but chances of his return to Kyiv are high.
Among Dynamo recruits are 22 year old offensive player Serhiy Serebriannikov
from Shynnyk of Yaroslavl, Russia; defensive player Volodymyr Ezersky from
Karapty of Lviv, Ukraine; goalie Illia Blyzniuk from Dnipro, and five others.
As to Serhiy Rebrov and Andriy Shevchenko as well as other players, will
remain with Dynamo for at least another six months. Hryhory Surkis expressed
hope that Dynamo will be ready for the game against Madrid Real despite
its lack of practice.
