Entertaining show competition Stars Inspire! will be held in 2012 instead of the Crimea Music Fest’s International Young Performers Competition. It should become the main surprise of the project and will be broadcast via 1+1 television channel in Ukraine and TV-Center in Russia. The Jubilee Concert Hall in Yalta will see ten pairs consisting of a star and a young performer to come on stage on August 30, 2012. The maestros prepare performances for their charges, while spectators will send text messages with marks for the creative tandems’ skill, ideas and performances. Thus, the legendary rock band VV’s frontman Oleh Skrypka will appear both in Stars Inspire! and Goodbye, Summer! shows. On August 31, 2012, the musician will not only perform one of his own compositions, but also introduce spectators to Ilaria, a young singer who participated in the Voice of the Country-2 TV project and will give a premiere performance of her song “I Am Free.” The Crimea Music Fest’s organizers have also entrusted Skrypka with priest-like duties in opening the last day of the festival and closing the convention. According to the scenario, the VV’s lead musician will bring the spectators to engage in the farewell to summer ritual involving Ukrainian national traditions and folklore motifs. The ceremony will unfold first on the seafront of Yalta, where ritual fires will burn, and then move to the stage. Skrypka’s performance will be accompanied by the Grand Orchestra musicians and the violin virtuoso Vasyl Popadiuk who will arrive by air from Canada just for the concert.
