Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes, there is the least of real liberty

The Crimean Open in rhythmic gymnastics gathered in Yalta the athletes
of almost all regions of Ukraine. The tournament was held in unusual conditions.
For want of a sports hall, the competitors did their exercises on the stage
of a local movie theater.

In spite of the summer, it is not so hot in the Crimea. And the sea
temperature has not yet come to 20 degrees C. Prices are also quite reasonable.
We can say the competitors were lucky. With the average daily per-capita
accommodations price at the Sevastopol health center 40 hryvnias, they
paid 5 hryvnias each. As the health center managers assured us, such discounts
for sports persons are planned in the future, too. True, beaches were also
far from being crowded. The holiday season has not yet begun, in fact.

As was expected, the Simferopol-based Grace club team topped the tournament.
Liubov Serebrianska's pupil Olena Tkachenko came off victorious among adult
competitors. In other age categories, too, Crimean girls won high marks.

Although Yalta is not Ukraine's most sports-adapted city, the tournament
was held on a high organizational level, which is the great merit of the
competition's chief judge Narine Holubovych.
