The Ukrainian team lost the previous control game to the Polish national team 1:2. Of course the coaches received necessary information about the players, but Ukrainian experiments in the game were boring and limp.
Not many people doubted that before playing Russia, the Ukrainians would do their best to win the final sparring with Georgia by the painless introduction of other clubs' players into the Dynamo game plan. Dynamo is Dynamo, and the national team is the national team. And it is definitely so because Valery Lobanovsky says so.
The coaches made a great choice when selecting an opponent to check themselves. First of all, because the Russian and Georgian teams play approximately the same scheme. But the Georgians turned out to be not ready for the game. But that is another tale.
Everything went right for our team in the game. And this not only concerns the speed advantage, although it is very important. I would not want to rush to conclusions, but it seems that the game certified effectiveness of draft work, carried out by Yosyp Sabo and his colleagues. Apparently it was the first game where players from other clubs looked natural in the Dynamo game scheme. With the coaches' assistance they also tried to tactically diversify it. I mean Moscow Torpedo player Sergei Skachenko, who was very effective in attack in the second half and Volodymyr Mykytyn, left half back from Lviv. He was prefect during the whole game.
We know the Dynamo players better. They all played well. As to Shevchenko, with Skachko on the field, he was moved to the under attacker's line and managed to do a lot in this new role. I would like to note the universality of this talented forward and successful coach's move.
And more. Komanda (Team) published a story, “Glasgow Rangers Chasing Shevi for eight million pounds.” The Day turned to the honorable president of open stock Football Club Dynamo Kyiv Hryhory Surkis for comment. Surkis declared that the Dynamo club management never had any negotiations with any representative of the Scotch club about a possible transfer of Shevchenko to the Glasgow Rangers, because the tasks for the club are more important than the temporary commercial interests of the club.
