“We think that photography in Ukraine is underestimated. The Day newspaper is probably the only player in this field. What you are doing deserves great respect. We feel honored to be a partner of such project,” Viacheslav Yutkin, first deputy chairman of Prominvestbank, our partner, regular reader and companion commented on his friendship with the newspaper in the most recent interview.

With the support of Mr. Yutkin, for nearly 15 years already The Day’s International Photo Contest has had a reliable sponsor in one of the highest nominations – the Grand Prix. Yutkin personally selects photographs which deserve to be awarded, that’s why he knows the subject, quality, and evolution of the project well. Without any preparation he can speak about the best, in his opinion, photographs and their authors from almost every year.

But, in fact, the circle of The Day’s photo project sympathizers in Prominvestbank is wider. “The Day’s Photo Contest is a project well known to all people working in the bank and we all love it,” Mr. Yutkin noted in the same interview. According to him, the best photographs from the contest hang in the cabinets of the bank employees for the entire year and become a subject for discussions. “It often turns into a discussion about the ways for the country’s development,” said the banker.

The bank’s management believes that the exhibition will be viewed by at least 1,500 people. This is the number of people who now work in the central office in Sofiiska Street and every day pass the hall where The Day’s photo exhibition will be held. Besides, all the clients and visitors of the bank, interested in the photographs, will get a chance to view the exhibition.
