The Goodwill Games competition in light athletics is with good reason called the unofficial world championship, for the world's best have gathered in New York.
Zhanna Pintusevych has convincingly demonstrated that she can consistently place among the world's best sprinters. After placing second in the 100 meter dash she has again won in silver in the 200, once again giving way to American Marion Jones, who was in such form as to be practically unbeatable. Jones finished at 21:80 and Pintusevych at 22.46.
