Trapeze artists, acrobats, magicians, mimes, comics, jugglers, animators, balancers, manipulators, animal trainers, and artists of original genre present their sills.

The program called “Tour of the Great Moscow Circus on Vernadsky Prospekt,” which was launched last week, features real masters of arena: laureates and winners of prestigious competitions and festivals in Monte Carlo, Italy, the Netherlands, France, and Russia, artists who performed with the well-known Cirque du Soleil. Comic clowns Viacheslav Kurkov and Mikhail Ramzin, who together form the “ComicalDuas,” are able not only to entertain the audience, but can also demonstrate an amazing play with blocks, can fly on the air balloon, and show high class of training. And it is not a joke! For example, kangaroo does not simply dance waltz, it stands up on pointes, like a real ballerina. In the performance “Trained Cheetahs” under the direction of Kurkov those predators act like proud cats, who not only growl, but also purr. By the way, Mr. Kurkov is a real one-man-circus (he is the program manager, and together with his friend and colleague Ramzin can also make the audience laugh to tears and watch the great performances with bated breath).

I am certain that the audience will long remember the performance “Electricians.” This performance combines different circus genres: equilibristics, acrobatics, and gymnastics. An actor, standing on chairs and empty champagne bottles, tried to reach to the lamp shade that was gradually going higher and higher. Sergey Nekrasov and Nikolai Babanov will fascinate the audience with simultaneous execusion of complex tricks in the performance “Canvases.”

The program also features the swiftest animals in the world, children’s favorites: funny Shetland ponies, witty and smart dogs, powerful horses, and funny monkeys. The performance “Antipode” under the direction of Volodymyr Kuskov presents the family of acrobat-motorcyclists. Lyrical and dramatic show (directed by Daria Kostiuk) combines illusion, pantomime, and ballet.

After viewing the program kids asked their parents to come to the circus once again, and the grow-ups admitted that there were breathtaking moments and they had a great pleasure from the spectacular show which cheered everyone up. By the way, the Moscow Show will be in Kyiv until February 26. Volodymyr Shevchenko, general director and art director of the Ukraine’s National Circus promised to bring to Kyiv the festival of various circus genres for the time of Euro-2012.
