Simply super

The National Circus of Ukraine opened a new season under this name. The main number of the program is “The attraction of predatory animals,” which involves ten predators, and the main “stars” are two lions, four lionesses and four Ussuri and Bengal tigers, which demonstrate their crown numbers. Lions and tigers are friends only on the circus arena, behaving as good “cats” and precisely following the instructions of trainers Yulia and Mykola Kozyriev. By the way, the Kozyriev couple has been working as assistants of the legendary artists

Liudmyla and Volodymyr Shevchenko for almost ten years, and when the famous tamers decided to stop performing on stage, their number with predators went to the Kozyrievs. The numbers with exotic animals, monkeys, porcupines and skunks also will not leave the audience indifferent, as well as the tricks of clubfooted bears.

“This time we have decided to make an unusual beginning of the show, as in many Western European circuses – the predators’ performance... We are sure that after this number the viewers will not get bored till the end of the program,” emphasized the chief director of the National Circus of Ukraine Liudmyla SHEVCHENKO.

By the way, an unusual number with a pig is being prepared (the piggy is still rehearsing and it is not yet ready, so it is not let out on the arena). In October, the program will be widened with colorful oriental motifs – they will be provided by camel-artists. According to the director general and artistic supervisor of the National Circus of Ukraine Volodymyr Shevchenko, now the program mostly involves Ukrainian artists, but there are also participants from Russia. Ge-nerally, more than 60 artists are engaged in the show. By the way, among the “Simply Super” participants the viewers will see the finalists of Ukraine’s Got Talent TV show Illia and Danylo Strakhovy (the acrobat brothers). Their number is called “Gangsters”. The group of jugglers will show a real level of skills, performing with maces in impenetrable darkness. The viewers’ hearts will freeze during the “Vertical flight” under the direction of Oleksandr Selifanov (synchronous operation of two equestrian acrobats under the circus dome). Fearless tightrope walker Volodymyr Todo-rashko will jokingly perform difficult elements, as if taking a walk on a regular track. Traditionally, the clowns with their dancing and sport numbers and witty jokes will amuse both young and adult spectators. The “Simply Super” program is a kaleidoscope of different circus genres, combined in such a way that two hours will pass away like a moment.
