Time to prepare presents for St. Nicholas Day and Christmas

This photo season our national mini-photo competition has become international. In the Ukrainian Autumn Contest, the participants from Ukraine were joined by the representatives of the US – Volodymyr Triska from Seattle and Roksolana Tymiak-Lonchyna from Chicago. And obviously, wanting to support the new member, the site visitors gave the first place to Volodymyr Triska, even though the Colors of Autumn photo that he submitted did not quite correspond to the idea of this photo season. The second and third places were divided in the popular vote between the images On the Leafy Carpet by Ivanna Serdiuchenko from Poltava and In the Autumn’s Embrace by Pavlo Likhotkin from Orativ, Vinnytsia oblast. Let us remind that we asked the participants to create with joint efforts a gallery of unique autumn rituals that are followed in different corners of Ukraine. And you, dear readers, with your active voting had to evaluate how the participants managed to realize this plan. Editorial staff is grateful to the photographers and photo amateurs who understood the idea and shown responsible attitude to the selection of pictures. And now it is time to prepare presents for St. Nicholas Day and Christmas, and announce the opening of a new photo season. Why not combine the pleasant with the pleasant? Perhaps the participants of our mini-photo competition will prompt you the idea of an interesting and unusual New Year’s present. So, let us arm ourselves with fantasy, temperament, and, of course, our cameras and prepare “The best present to St. Nicholas Day and Christmas!” Do not forget about apt titles for the photographs!
