The first public discussion of fashion in sociopolitical and international contexts will take place at the initiative of Ukrainian Fashion Week and The Day

Den has announced the project EuroFashion (March 19-20), which has gathered 16 Fashion Ambassadors, European designers, on the Ukrainian podium. However, the organizers decided not to limit themselves only to the showings and use the opportunity to speak about the Ukrainian fashion in a broad international context as well as an important factor in the country’s economic, social, and cultural life. How is Ukrainian fashion influencing the image of our country abroad? Is it able to at least partially level the negative things about Ukraine circulating in the information space? What are the main advantages of the Ukrainian fashion in the world market, compared to its competitors?

Fashion experience of other countries: how can one develop the relations between the fashion industry and the state in a proper way? All these questions are going to be discussed on March 20 at a roundtable “Fashion and cultural projects as an integral component of forming a country’s international image.” The discussion will be attended by President of the Ukrainian Fashion Council, head of the organizing committee and cofounder of Ukrainian Fashion Week Iryna Danylevska; head of the Borys Kolesnikov Foundation Maryna Dedenko; head of the Civic Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena Yeskina, journalist Yurii Makarov, Kostyantyn Gridin, chief executive officer of Kyiv’s CFC consulting company, the exclusive representative of CNN in Ukraine; head of the Czech Center in Kyiv, Dagmar Ostranska; fashion ambassadors: the participants of the EuroFashion Project, such as designers Viktoria Andreyanova (Russia), Maria Gambina (Portugal), Joanna Przetakiewicz (Poland), Iryna Karavai (Ukraine), Fedir Vozianov (Ukraine). Read more about the roundtable in the following issues of The Day.
