The billboard has been placed beside the regional road Rava-Ruska – Sudova Vyshnia, used by hundreds of motor vehicles every day, The Day was told by the press service of Rava-Ruska City Council.

The billboard carries a portrait of protester Mykhailo Havryliuk, who was detained by riot police, then stripped naked and abused during the clashes in Hrushevsky Street in Kyiv. Inscription on the billboard reads: “A nation exists as long as there are PEOPLE willing to defend it. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to its heroes!”

“There are people in Ukraine, the true descendants of the Cossacks, who are ready to defend to the end not only their honor and dignity, but also those of their country and people,” one of the initiators of the billboard’s installation, Rava-Ruska’s mayor Iryna Vereshchuk remarked. “We would like in this way, by installing this billboard, remind everyone yet again: the greatest treasure for every citizen of Ukraine is our country, the nation, and we must constantly fight for better life in it and be prepared to go all the way when doing so. Do not be afraid of what will happen to us if we dare fight for a better deal for ourselves and our children. At the same time, we need to remember that we will be hardly able to forgive ourselves if we stand aside at a time when our brothers and sisters are kidnapped, abused, tortured, and killed.”
