The evening event is dedicated to Lina Kostenko, a famous master of Ukrainian poetry who will celebrate her birthday on March 19.

The lyrical and poetic performance February March/Fierce March [the Ukrainian word for ‘February’ also means ‘fierce.’ – Ed.], which is based on Kostenko’s works, was prepared by artists Yulia Volchkova (it is her directorial debut) and Maryna Anisovych. They will perform accompanied by the magical sounds of marimba (a kind of xylophone) played by Yehor Zvieriev. The production will play out against the background of paintings by Ukrainian artists of the late 20th – early 21st century, which are displayed at the exhibition “Metamorphoses of Femininity” which is now on display in the Khlibnia exhibition hall.
