This is the first premiere presented to the public without the circus director Volodymyr Shevchenko (famous trainer passed away last year) but the flag of the high circus art stays high due to the efforts of his colleagues and his wife – now the general director and art director of the National Circus of Ukraine Liudmyla Shevchenko. (However, Volodymyr Shevchenko’s personal make-up room number 12 stays empty.)

The new program brings moments of joy to children and adults. It is full of upscale performances and attractions. Thus, heaving exercises combined with athletes’ incredible stretching makes it possible to show figures and elements, which can be easily called the works of art. Acrobats show the incredible skills a human body can master. Air gymnasts charm the audience with their enthusiasm and boldness. Pretty poodles turn somersault and stand on hind paws. Bears catch hoops and ride bicycles. By the way, children can also play around and try the “bear maze.”

The audience will visit the pirate ship where the captain is the trainer and his assistants are the monkeys. Large porcupine resembles a black and white chrysanthemum and the yellow macaw parrot as if flew to the arena from the screen of a popular movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

The highlight of the attraction are the majestic pelicans. Walrus Sultan came to Kyiv from the far away Chukotka. Sultan sings along with the recording of Whitney Houston’s songs. This 1,500-pound actor has good appetite (he eats 55 pounds of fish per day), can twist rings, balance a ball on his head, dance, wave “hello,” clap, bow, and does fitness exercises just as good as his trainer.

You will be thrilled with the tricks of the equilibrists from Russia, tightrope walkers from Uzbekistan, and the world-wide known Ukrainian gymnast Anastasia Makeieva. Colleagues refer to her as a daredevil because the girl does all gymnastic tricks under the cupola of the circus without safety ropes. You will also be amazed at Scottish ponies with their skills, amusing reprises and jokes of clowns will sure make you laugh. The circus will present its new program “From Heart to Heart” in Kyiv for nearly four months (until May).
