This Ukrainian musician, ranking among the best-known Ukrainians in the West, will give a concert at the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine. Accompanied by musicians of the Philharmonic’s Symphony Orchestra, Kyrylo Karabyts (Kirill Karabits) will perform two world classics: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 and Richard Strauss’s symphonic poem A Hero’s Life.

Let us recall that for 15 years already, Karabyts has had great success representing Ukraine abroad as he worked with the best opera and symphony orchestras around the world. The maestro lives and works at a phenomenal pace! He has directed Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in the UK since 2007 and served as the artistic director of the youth I, CULTURE Orchestra (Poland) since 2014; the latter is called “the EU’s music team.” Recently, Karabyts was appointed the general music director of the Deutsches Nationaltheater and the chief conductor of the Staatskapelle Weimar. He has not forgotten his homeland either. For instance, he performed the works of Donbas composers at the Lviv Opera in June 2015, gave two grand concerts in Kyiv (at the National Opera and in Independence Square) on Independence Day (August 24) and presented pop songs by his father, famous composer Ivan Karabyts, combined in “Madonna Ukraine” program, on the nation’s main stage in early September 2015. The conductor avoids high talk and strikes no false notes, both in music and in life! According to him, his objective is “to enjoy what I do and please others with it!”
