The first step toward concrete measures

A trilateral memorandum of cooperation has been signed in Eisenstadt (Austria) between Lviv’s Municipal Children’s Hospital, the Barmherziger Bruder Hospital, and the international benevolent foundation Ukraine 3000. Kateryna Yushchenko, chairperson of the foundation’s supervisory board, noted that “another children’s hospital has received a reliable partner for long-term cooperation in the framework of the project “From Hospital to Hospital.” The memorandum outlines an overall framework of cooperation between these two hospitals and marks the first step toward signing agreements relating to concrete projects. Austrian physicians are planning to invite their young Ukrainian colleagues for on-the-job training on a competitive basis, exchange juvenile treatment protocols, and provide online consulting services. The special program “From Hospital to Hospital” envisages aid to 23 Ukrainian hospitals from the Ukraine 3000 Foundation to organize permanent partnership contacts with medical institutions, scholarly research centers, and pharmaceutical companies in EU member countries and North America.
