The Inimitable Kotorovych

“...Bohodar Kotorovych cannot be compared to any renowned violinist. He has an individuality and style of his own; he feels music in his special manner, almost flying up to the sky with the flow of sound.” That is how the Australian News described Ukraine’s number one violinist. And this words are no exaggeration and no compliment to a touring stranger. Whoever, wherever, and whenever listens to Kotorovych’s music will agree. Even those unversed with the performing arts cannot help but understand that his technique is irreproachably perfect, and his sensitive and noble manner cannot leave any audience indifferent. Bohodar Kotorovych has won many prizes and titles, he actively performs and works intensively. But during the last five years he has devoted much of his power, talent, and energy to his beloved creation, the Kyiv Soloists State Chamber Ensemble, which has become an integral part of Ukraine’s musical culture. And it is only natural that their virtuoso performance was part of a concert which was given July 3 to mark Kotorovych’s jubilee.

That same day the president of Ukraine awarded Bohodar Kotorovych with an order For Meritorious Service third degree, for personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian arts. The Day adheres to all the greetings and wishes Bohodar Antonovych health, inspiration, and a light bow.
