Lateral Vector Resources Canada and the Ukrnaft (Ukrainian Oil) publicly held company signed an agreement launching the joint venture for extraction with Canadian Natural Resources Minister Ralph Gooddale in the Canadian Embassy in Kyiv. LVR President Wayne Goranson reported the company intends to increase the oil extraction from the Buhrevativsky stratum from 5 to 20%, reports Vitaly Kniazhansky of The Day.

A new telephone station made by South Korean’s Daewoo has been installed in Mykolaiv. This is the first digital automatic telephone station supplied by Daewoo to Ukraine. It will supplant the oldest automated telephone station in Ukraine and costs Hr 10 million. It is granted under conditions of a long-term loan.
