No one sings like Ukrainian girls!

14 April, 00:00

The 12-year-old Kyivan Olha Kovalska has won the First International Contest of Children and Youth Song “Two Cats,” which was held in Moscow. Children from different countries took part in this competition (over 60 participants competed, on average, in each age category!). Ukraine was represented by five contestants. Olya Kovalska performed the song “In Disco Style” and won the first place, the young singer’s producer Iryna Kovalska told Korrespondent.net. According to the organizers, the purpose of the competition was to create a truly children’s festival, not a copy of the adult one like the Junior Eurovision or “New Wave .” The jury was headed by the famous composer Grigory Gladkov (author of the popular children’s song “Plasticine Crow” from the animated film Last Year’s Snow Was Falling and many others). In Spain, a 14-year-old Ukrainian singer Yulia Smaha found herself among the top five of best performers in the project “I want to sing” (an analog of the Ukrainian Star Factory).
