The 1+1 Studio anounces the start of its Soccer Talk Show on TV

It usually takes a long time to see promises fulfilled. However, in this case, we no longer need to wait. During the presentation of Group 1+1’s new projects, we were told that this autumn, the 2+2 channel (formerly Cinema) will present a new soccer talk show entitled On Soccer.

Lidia Taran and Kostiantyn Andriiuk will be the show’s hosts. On Soccer will be a discussion forum about current events in the world of Ukrainian soccer. The presenters, along with sport experts and guests, will talk about the latest news and interesting points of soccer matches.

It is believed that soccer coverage in the Ukrainian media is one sided at times. Soccer Weekend’s competitors have successively passed into oblivion. Some did so for lack of funding, some for other reasons. Oleksandr Denisov’s Soccer Weekend pretends to be an informational and analytical program, while 1+1 aims to create a ‘bazaar show’ following ICTV’s example [ICTV channel has its own soccer related TV program — Ed.]. The biggest concern is that this project will not live up to the competitions. Well, it all depends. Personally, I would like to see a new talk show that is truly competitive, and not just part of the Donetsk-Kyiv conflict.

By the way, the famous soccer commentator Roberto Morales has joined the Soccer channel, which is a part of the TRK Ukraine group. He will cover the Brazilian and Spanish championships, as well as some games of the Ukrainian Premier League. Moreover, in October this media group will launch a new channel, Soccer+.
