It looks like they are captured in this photo – a man nicknamed Angry and a puppy called Maidanchyk. It may be another pair, but their appearances are strongly suggesting their identities. It prompts one to consider shooting a film about them, with name Angry Man and Maidanchyk as the obvious choice for the story about a man who initially hesitated, tried to pull away from the revolutionary events, as he was generally a lonely misanthrope (this is where his nickname Angry comes from), but then accidentally found himself on Maidan or Hrushevsky Street on a hellish night, rescued a puppy while getting beaten up by riot police, joined the protest, and became friends for life with Maidanchyk. The real story can differ somewhat, of course.

Anyway, I think that this little furry soldier will soon find a master, as adoptable homeless dogs are in demand on Maidan.

Besides, the photo, as well as any visual image, easily lends itself to metaphorization. For example, it can be seen as reflecting our state as still quite young and stupid creature that needs care from experienced and conscious of their rights and power citizens. It will then grow up and become a true protector of the rights and welfare of the citizens. Of course, it sounds quite idealistic, too. But has not the ideal been the moving force throughout human history?
