By Lesia GANZHA, The Day
On May 25 in the Art-East Gallery an exhibition opened featuring works
by Georgian artists dedicated to the independence of Georgia. David Sharashidze,
Badri Gubanuri, Gia Miminoshvili, and Temo Svireli, who presented their
paintings, objects, and collages, have long lived and worked in Kyiv, but
in their blood they have small T'bilisi courtyards, Georgian wine and grape
juice, the coziness of large families and the big dreamy eyes of children
with black hair. Each work is like a reminder of their far-off native land,
torn apart by dissension and war.
