On March 19 Mr. Ferents told Interfax- Ukraine that he addressed a complaint to Ivan Korchysty, Judge of the Donetsk Oblast Court of Appeal, who is hearing the case of Ihor Aleksandrov. Inter alia it reads that the court is continuing to look for imaginable subjective motives to justify the previous improper acts and transfer hearing on the merits. “Defendant Yury Verediuk’s claim to record the court hearing using technical means is procedurally reasonable, although the injured party and their representative affirm that his appeal is without grounds, collateral, and is aimed at delaying the hearing of the case,” the motion reads.

“Certain civil and journalistic organizations are ready to grant the court the necessary equipment,” Ferents says, and that, in his opinion, make the grounds and arguments of the judge concerning the impossibility of recording the court hearing without basis. The lawyer also stressed that all the necessary equipment is “cheap, available, and easy to handle.”
